The Perfect Pan-Fried Steak GF

Take steak up a notch with this tried and true way to pan-fry the perfect steak. Serve with a dollop of our Bearnaise Sauce for an expert finish. For added flavour add some rosemary and garlic to the pan to infuse the butter as you cook the steak.

  • 2 Sirloin Steaks
  • 5g butter
  • 1 jar Epicure Bearnaise Sauce

    Set steak on a wire rack and season well with salt and pepper. Let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes. The salt will help break down the fibres and the taking off the chill will make for more even cooking.

    Once the 30 minutes are up, blot the steak dry with kitchen paper and get a pan over medium-high heat. As you add the steak to the pan nestle a little knob of butter underneath. Cook for 3-4 minutes until deep golden brown. Flip and cook for another 2-4 minutes, or until cooked to your liking.

    Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving with a dollop Epicure Bearnaise Sauce.
